Jeff and Randall of Dark Colour approached me and asked me to design an event poster for their event at The Comet. Their fans and frequenters of The Comet needed a way to find out about the upcoming show. I illustrated and designed the poster. The illustration was based on a story of a man who was fleeing his home with his family. He was separated from them and ran to try and catch the train they were on. I began with a light Sumi ink wash, building up the dark areas then using a fine-tipped brush and a fountain pen, then I added the details. Posters were printed and hung in the area, the show was a success filling the Comet with fans old and new.
